Alexander HampelAs you most likely know, Ralf Spenneberg wrote a book about Intrusion Detection for Linux Servers, that goes pretty well into detail with Snort (1.87 at the time of writing). It is well written, and talks about multiple Sensor setup, the Management Console, etc.
...
Of course, Ralf also talks about TCT, netcat, and a multitude of other forensic tools and technologies under Linux, however, IMO it is the only usable book on the market about Snort today.
